This is god playing guitar. He is one of the best, if not the best, at least in his style which is jazz fusion. He is considered to be one of the most inventive and technically gifted guitar players in the world. Check out his skills in this song called Road Games:

Today i bring you a band i've discovered recently. It's called Teia and they make really good music.
Unfortunately there are no videos worth sharing so my only recommended action is to listen to their fantastic EP on their Myspace.
They were formed in 2004 and their members are Rui Couto (vocals), Pisca (electric guitar), Xandinho (electric-acoustic guitar), Ruben Cunha (bass), Kwala (piano, synthesizers, sampler) and Tiago (drums).
Their album is called Lengalenga and you should hear the track Mentiroso do Bem.

Hello readers. Today I bring you a post-rock/electronic band called Lymbyc Systym. I have only discovered them recently and i should say that as a drummer myself, i like it very much. They were formed in 2001 by two brothers, Jared Bell and Michael Bell.

Classics - Suede
Hello my fellow readers, did you know that she was in fashion a long time ago? You might ask: "Who is she?", and "why was she in fashion?". I think that the answer lies in this video. Can you remember?
It's Suede, also known as The London Suede. They are a brittish alternative rock band that was formed in 1989 in London and whose frontman is Brett Anderson. They were considered, at the time, one of the best bands from Britain.
The song in question is called She's in Fashion and is included in the album Head Music which dates to 1999. This song was a big hit at the time of it's release, pretty much everywhere in the world.
I should add that the album, overall, is pretty good. This song is just part of it and there are other songs like Elephant Man or Crack in the Union Jack that are amazing and even better than She's in Fashion.
I recommend you give the album a listen.

If you are looking for the best thing you can hear from Suede, go check one of their first records called Dog Man Star, from 1994, it is something that you should listen to, if you haven't already.

Classics - Erik Satie
Hello readers!
Today I bring you another classic that you've already heard but probably didn't know the origin. This time I bring you a post full of melancholy. Why? Listen to this:

I'm pretty sure you can recognize the main melody of this composition. It was composed by Erik Satie and it's called Gymnopédie 1. He was born in May 17, 1866 in France and died in July 01, 1925. His main composition styles were based around impressionism, modern classical, and western classical music.
The original Gymnopédies are all written in 3/4 time and are considered to be percursors to modern ambient minimalistic music.
I highly suggest you listen, even if you are not fond of classical music. I also recommend you listen to the interpretation of some of his themes by Aldo Ciccolini, which are present in Erik Satie - Aldo Ciccolini.

Classics - 10cc
Today I bring you another classic! This time it's a british pop/rock band called 10cc. Have you heard anything from them? I'm pretty sure you have. If not, check out this music video:
Do you recognize it now? It's "I'm not in love" by 10cc. The song was written by Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman and was released in 1975 then becoming a big hit on international radios. It started being a bossa nova song but then evolved to be enriched with choirs and luxurious soundscapes with very complex voice arrangements.
The album where the song is included is called "The Original Soundtrack", but i also suggest you give a listen to the album they released the year after called "How dare you!"

Classics - Procol Harum
Hello fellow readers and bloggers. My name is Jorge, I am a university student and i absolutely love to listen to music. I also love to discover new things or revisit old ones. That is why i started this blog, to showcase some astonishing music that is little known and to revisit the classics of the past, from bands that new generations happened to forget. This is a blog about what's good to hear, and what i think you should hear.
I would love to know your opinions and suggestions about the blog and about the songs i will be commenting and posting about.
I am going to start this blog with a bang! A classic from the past! It's Procol Harum -A whiter shade of pale. You can almost instantly recognize the main riff on the rhodes piano!
