Classics - Philip Glass

Have you heard Philip Glass?

This time, it's a soundtrack of a film. And it's a film with a weird name, it's Koyaanisqatsi, and the soundtrack was made by Philip Glass. Above is a very short video that ilustrates what you can see and hear if you watch the film.

Philip Glass
Philip was born in 1937 in Baltimore, US. His style is mainly characterized as minimalistic, classical, experimental and symphonic. He is a very prolific composer, havinc produced soundtracks for films suchs as The Truman Show and The Hours.

One of his most recognizable scores though is Koyanisqaatsi: Life Out of Balance, which is a film with beautiful shots of the earth accompanied with music by Philip Glass. It's an art film, very educational, and it's the first of a trilogy. The images are in slow motion and time-lapse. I'ts a cult film and you should see it, and hear it!
